Visit the historic town of Berkhamsted's High Street where you'll find a charming market town with shops, pubs and historic buildings, all nestled in the rolling hills of Hertfordshire.

15 minute drive from Ashridge House. We will have a Roundtrip Shuttle from Ashridge to Berkhamsted Rail Station

Sunday 9:30 am to 2:30 round trips

Ashridge House pick up 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 to Berk

Berkhamsted Rail Station pick up 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00 (last pick up in Berkhamsted 2:00 pm) to Ashridge

If youre heading into town to explore Berkhamsteds high street, take a short walk over to the Berkhamsted Castle to visit the historic ruins. Berkhamsted Castle and the deer park and estate surrounding it were for many centuries held by the Duchy of Cornwall.

Open daily 10 am to 6 pm. Free entry. We will have a shuttle service between Ashridge House and Berkhamsted High Street on Sunday for those wanting to go into town to explore. You can also see the recommended taxi service below.
